Breeden Barn Projectont

Breeden Barn
Breeden Barn

With the successful move of the Breeden Barn to MATI's property in the fall of 2007, and with the concerted effort of many helpful volunteers over the summer of 2008, we have nearly completely restored the Breeden Barn. Thank you everyone for your valued help and support!

The milking parlor is now enclosed. Thanks to Arnie Stoltenberg and Dick Wilson for putting the rafters and roofing on the milking parlor. Make a $20 donation to the barn project and receive a Barn T-shirt .

MATI received a grant from the Rasmuson Foundation to cover the cost of materials needed in restoration. Many, many volunteers are now working on the multiple tasks necessary to ready this new addition to MATI for the public access.

You can help with this restoration effort in two ways. If you'd like to help work on the restoration in 2010, just call MATI (376-1211). All volunteers are welcome. You can also make a direct donation to the Breeden Barn Project.

The Museum of Alaska Transportation and Industry teamed up with local Alaskan Artist James Havens to celebrate Alaska's historical aviation past by issuing their first annual limited edition print entitled 'THE MUD HEN'
